Dalibandhu Patnaik was army in- charge of the Hyderabad Nizam for Ganjam,
while Jagannath Patnaik was an engineer in the British ruling India.

Out Of the 11 sons of Jagannath Patnaik, Bijubabu's father, Shri Laxminarayan Pattanik was 5th one.

Lakshmi Narayan Pattanaik, completed schooling at Bhanjanagar and intermediate at Khalikot College Berhampur, followed by B.A from Madras College in 1896
Later he qualified B.L. from same university.
In 1904, he joined as musif in Judiciary Dept of Bengal-Odisha gov.

In 1930, he retired as a sub-George of Puri .
He was awarded as M.B.E, Member of the British Empire by the British Government for excellence work

After his retirement he appointmened as dewan of Delang zamindari of Parala Maharaja Shri Krushnachandra Gajapati Narayanganj Dev

In 1931, the Maharaja of Paralakhemundi attended roundtable conference for separate odisha formation, in London. Lakshmi Narayan patnaik and SN Rajaguru prepared the documents of roundtable for honorable Maharaja

Mahatma Gandhi was stationed at Berboi near Delang estate of Parala maharaja.
Laxmi Narayan Patnaik took over all arrangements of Gandhijis stay.
After retirement,
he established Utkal Chemicals, Utkal Bank, Oriya Sahitya Prachar Samiti,etc
Also he established odia school,

Leprosy ashram, libraries, and so on.
Like the great Madhubabu, Laxminarayn was a man of Odia soul.
At a time he was well known as standard judge, a front supporter of the Utkal smmilani, a great odia literary organizer, a good politician, and a freedom fighter too

Lakshmi Narayan married a Bengali woman named Aashalata.
Ashalta had four issues with laxminarayan.
They were Shraddhananda (George Patnaik) Sukritidevi (daughter) Bijayananda (Bijupatnaik) Dayananda (Siju Patnaik)

In 1940 Lakshmi Narayan joined as manager of Manjusha princely state ganjam(present mandasa of Andhrapradesh)
He took his last breath in Feb 17, 1941.
