Here is an inspiring story of how a dev made tiny incremental changes to his game's Steam page and went from earning ~5 wishlists a day to more than ~25. Look at this chart:

A thread of how you can improve your steam page too 👇👇👇/1
/2 First, he replaced the capsule image. The early one was a screenshot of the game. He replaced it with a fully illustrated character. The new one looks straight out of LotR - sets the mood of the action of the game

Recommendation: Hire a good capsule artist! They are worth it!
/3 Recommendation 2: Don't use in-game gameplay as your capsule (even if your game is pretty). I looked at top-selling games: exactly 0 of them used a screenshot for their cap. https://howtomarketagame.com/2020/10/28/trends-for-steam-capsule-design/
/4 The developer then completely redid his tags. He took out overly generalized tags such as "Indie, Action, Singleplayer, Adventure, and Casual" and replaced the top 5 with tags that were a combo of "popularity + relevance + low competition"
/5 Now this was the really smart part: After the first 5 tags were picked, he used high popularity, high competition tags for the 5-10 tag locations. These boosted game visibility.
/6 Recommendation: Learn how to tag your game. I wrote up a post here about this. Tags are VERY IMPORTANT https://howtomarketagame.com/2020/11/12/steam-101-how-to-tag-your-game/
/7 The dev was also very methodical and took notes along the way of his changes. Don't change everything at once. Watch the charts for about a week after any change (steam is noisy) And do it when you don't have any external promotion coming in.
/8 As you can see there were a couple of down-turns in his wishlist rate. That was from those horrible "indie" and "adventure" tags popping up like weeds. That is why you need to make changes slowly so you can identify what the root cause of any change was.
/9 That is it. The process took him about 2 months of constant monitoring and experimentation. If you want more details about how he did this, check this: https://howtomarketagame.com/2020/12/21/how-to-increase-your-games-daily-wishlist-rate/
