Why Did Nokia Fail?

1) A Brief History
Nokia is a Finnish communication, founded in 1865.
Nokia was a pioneer in the smartphone market.
I still remember its legendary 3310 model.
Now holding the latest smartphones seems like ages passed. Just around 20 yrs actually.
So what went wrong?

2) Operating System
Symbian 60 series couldn't compete with the introduction
- Apple iOS 2007
- Android 2008
The bottom line:
Tried to improve the Symbian OS system and create something unique.
Nokia moved too slowly in the market. Was too busy with feature adaptation.

3) Fast-Changing Market
Nokia failed to respond to the iPhone.
Samsung moved quickly into the market. It chose Android at the right time.
The adaptation process was quick, captured millions' attention with Galaxy S series.
Simple roadmap:
- build anticipation
- drive demand

In Summary:
Nokia’s strategy was to stay the course and do nothing.
They didn’t want to change and take risks. And that cost everything!
Wanna make a Change?
- take risks and don't look back
- adapt to a fast-changing environment
- trust the process from the beginning
