If being a woman is about preservation, then preserving the most feminine, soft and kind side of myself from a very public world is wise. There are all kinds of people. And it is unsafe to show a feminine face as it may get scratched. https://twitter.com/margaritaevna95/status/1341029425425633280
Throat clearing preambles, “I just thought I’d share my opinion that...” and apologizing conclusions not only take up characters, they show a lack of conviction in ones ideas. They make writing feminine; there’s an argument that one cannot be too feminine when one writes.
Perhaps, that clear articulate writing and ideas presented too clearly, are *perceived* as unfeminine belies the degradation in our idea of the feminine. It has become a caricature of itself: pink dresses, instagram aphorisms, and *positive vibes only* cartoon that cannot think
But I cannot bother too much with these thoughts. The ones to whom my femininity matters: my family and friends, are not here. Honesty and clarity of writing are crucial for me to turn over and examine my own ideas, and to understand the world. If it is masculine, so be it!
After all, this is the exact practical application of the idea that: the feminine is best for the domestic, and the masculine is best for the world. This is not merely a dimorphism of sexes, but also a dimorphism of the anima and animus in each of us, so that we may use them best
