Nobody was giving me a proper story of what happened and I started checking his vitals...wala!!!! Na serious case!!!
Sugar Level: 17mg/dl
Now let me explain this, for a person that is not diabetic...
The normal "Fasting Sugar Level" (Before Eating) is around 80-100mg/dl

So this man came in with 17mg/dl meaning He had very low sugar, a condition called HYPOGLYCEMIA and that was why he was unconscious, a condition called "DIABETIC COMA"

It didn't end there, we checked his Blood Pressure and it read 224/110mmHg...Another Wahala!!!
Now the normal BP range for people that are not hypertensive is...90/60mmHg - 120/80mmHg
This man came with GRADE 3 HYPERTENSION i.e Blood Pressure greater than 180/110mmHg

Now the main problem started when we corrected his low sugar level and he started regaining consciousness...Thank God
But his Blood Pressure was not coming down after using several emergency anti-hypertensives...Wahala
It didn't end there, the man was not MAKING URINE!!!

The body works in away whereby it gives out what you bring in (GIGO- Garbage In Garbage Out) so if we put in 100mls of fluid, we should get atleast 50-80mls back as urine...
We started asking, when last did this man urinate, they lied initially, that he urinated that morning...

They got to the General Hospital and was immediately referred after reading my referral letter to any of the Teaching Hospitals...
