i didn't make a christmas song this year (kind of forgot to, kind of just didn't feel like it) so here are some christmas classics from previous years
WHEN CHRIST WAS BORN (2019). i actually tried on this one. the tune barely modulates from the G major chord throughout but i enjoyed adding in different layers and textures with various instruments https://mountpleasant.bandcamp.com/track/when-christ-was-born
CHRISTMAS GLOWS WITH LOVE (2019). conversely i didn't try at all with this, i kind of wrote it as i recorded it. i like the high pitched guitar sound i got, though i wish i'd mixed the synth a bit lower https://mountpleasant.bandcamp.com/track/christmas-glows-with-love
TO BE WITH YOU AT CHRISTMAS (2016). wanted this to sound like springsteen but i only had an acoustic guitar, a midi keyboard, and garageband. also has a ripping guitar solo with like 5 different distortion effects on it https://mountpleasant.bandcamp.com/track/to-be-with-you-at-christmas
A SLOW DEATH AT CHRISTMAS (2016). this isn't a song at all. it's a bunch of field recordings and synthesiser textures kind of mashed together, but i'm very happy with the feeling it gives https://mountpleasant.bandcamp.com/track/lowlands-a-slow-death-at-christmas
WHEN CHRISTMAS COMES (2016). idk this is just a nice breezy song. my voice sounds weird on it. feel like i don't sound like myself https://mountpleasant.bandcamp.com/track/lowlands-when-christmas-comes
DO YOU BELIEVE IN MAGIC? (2014). i recorded this very soon after moving to edinburgh. i didn't have any instruments except garageband, and i played all the parts for it on my computer's keyboard. i had a terrible cold and the singing is horrible https://mountpleasant.bandcamp.com/track/do-you-believe-in-magic
