Over the past few months I have personally known and lost 15 ppl in my life.
This is not a sympathy tweet. I feel I must explain how personal experiences give rise to different points of view regarding the handling of covid.

5 were lost to covid. 3 underlying problems. Aged 44 to 76
2 heart attacks 60/62
2 suicides 21/21
2 cancer 52/58
1 alchohol related 49
1 fall 82

From dealing with the aftermath of this. I can categorically say that I do NOT believe lockdowns are right.

My uncle died with covid. My aunt was on her own. She visited him in hospital and afterwards had to self isolate for 7 days. Alone. No amount of telephone calls, talking from the garden can compensate for being unable to give her a hug. She was terrified incase she passed it on.
2 days ago. I lost a school friend 44. She was on her own. Caught covid, self isolated and was found dead by the police. 
Those that had been battling cancer, I believe lives have been shortened by being house bound. I also think that lack of exercise, too much time on

your hands. Time to think is creating more damage to peoples mental health and wellbeing than covid itself.
I don’t know what the answer is to help solve any of this. Yes!! covid is real. No it is not just the flu.

The flu doesn’t give you blood clots in the lungs like some of my family members had. But.. we mustn’t prioritise this over the many other things that IS happening as a result of trying to protect people.
