Seriously, who the hell did we think we were? As Labour members, telling working class communities, from the comfort of our inner city lives, what was best for them. And if they disagreed then they were obviously thick or racist or a facist? Just no. Thats not how you win.
And I hold my hands up, I held that view. I took those people for granted, labelled them as stupid or racist; insulted their intelligence and the fact that maybe they understand their communities better than I do.
You can blame Brexit, the media, whatever. But we, the members, played a part in the alienation of entire communities. Stuck in our little echo chambers, quite literally not thinking about them because, 'theyre Northern, they'll vote Labour.'

Completely shambolic. Never again.
Someone tell me im wrong.
