I've been extensively researching and writing about Jig Beach, because the chaos there led directly to #LCT7074 beaching where she did. So I think I'll modestly claim I can answer all the questions thrown up in this pod, at least those about the beach. https://twitter.com/James1940/status/1341286443109543937
A Sqn of the Sherwood Rangers did land at 9am, thereabouts, on schedule. The photo from IWM doesn't show the shore so it's not a reliable indicator of the time of day.
IWM B 5258

The reports from the LCT flotilla are though. They show the move to Jig Red and the times correspond with 47 RM Commando's arrival slightly later at 9.30am
I've already tweeted extensively about when the DD tanks landed. The reason the infantry didn't see them is because they weren't there. They landed behind schedule and behind the infantry.
The reason WN37 wasn't silenced before the landings is fascinating, but I'm stopping here. Having previously pointed out to @James1940 that the time of day of the aerial photos is shown by shadows, I'm saddened to hear this now referred to as his 'damascene moment'. Poor form.
Here's the thread in case you forgot. https://twitter.com/SeaSpitfires/status/1301781573050740737
