Brexit voters did so not for economic gain but for political reasons. MPs were so tied to the EU that many never even read the Maastricht or Lisbon Treaty before approving of what was de-facto creeping colonization of the UK.
Bad politics normally presages injustice and serious economic difficulty
Few dreampt of the Brexit paradise that Remainers insinuate, straw man style. When unaccountable people are in charge they do as they wish, and not act for our own good. It is naive to think otherwise.
Whatever the difficulty, far better we vote for MPs who have real power instead of those who cowered and nodded through major disempowering treaties without even reading them. Blind faith in the EU tempts fate to the point of political catastrophe.
I am staggered so many seem happy to trade away fundamental rights to democratic equality, and a say, for little more than a hope the EU will be nice to us. Governments, for all our faults, change in the UK.
Despite changes in the appointed EU Executive/de facto legislative, government never changes in the EU. The Commission has sole right to initiate or not to initiate all law with no check. Similar right for all amendments with a virtually useless check. EU links follow. Most
