It would seem to some that the Black Lives Matter protests are little more than a game, or something to be mocked. Unless you are a person of colour, you have no idea how racism is imbedded in our culture, and how it can effect you EVERY SINGLE DAY. I will not shut up on this
Also if you are straight, you have no idea what it’s like for your very existence to be denied or deemed unworthy by religious institutions and therefore you have no idea what does how angry that would make you. LGBTQ+ people fought long & hard to be heard, so listen to them
And finally there is no blasphemy law in this country, as a British citizen I have the right to mock any religion. For centuries the church was responsible for oppression and abuse, and could not be contested. Thankfully that is not the way any more. I am an atheist & humanist
Any person can follow whatever faith that chose, or follow none at all. But unless your faith is based on compassion, inclusion and acceptance I have the right to challenge what you preach. We are all humans, we are all equal, we all deserve to live our lives without fear.
