Re the UK, I think two things are true:

1) the government is intentionally creating chaos. The conservatives are master disaster capitalists. Each disaster captivates your attention & controls the political environment. It makes you forget abt all their other disasters.
2) the UK population/electorate don't really have any sense of personal responsibility to each other/self-reflection

Life is categorically getting worse in every way. We are less richer, happier & successful in 2020 than in 2010. A 2010 Tory govt makes sense. It doesn't in 2020.
There comes a time when you have to start thinking logically and looking at the facts.

The trains/buses aren't working well. House prices are rising. Food and utilities are rising in price. Your salary (adjusted for inflation) is either stagnant, substandard or lower than ever.
Now if you were a manager & this was an employee, you'd put them on a warning & eventually dismiss them if they didn't improve. Not give them pay rises & ⬆️ responsibilities.

WHY are we doing this for our political leaders please!? A decade in power & destruction in their wake.
We've become more obsessed with "ah ha!" moments with the opposition parties than with the very real chaos of the government.

Your PM is laughing at you. If an election was held tomorrow, he'd likely win. That should be unconscionable w/ 60,000 dead because of his mismanagement.
Young children are forced to get ill in school with a deadly virus.

Teens/young adults are suffering breakdowns locked in uni halls which are hotspots of COVID.

The govt always planned to discharge COVID patients into care homes creating a death trap for the elderly & infirm.
When will we say enough is enough!?

Tens of thousands are dead because of COVID. Suicides are rising because life is unbearable here & mental health provision is a myth. Benefits are non-existent now but millions need them in one of the biggest recessions of all time.

ENOUGH.
