LRT: feeds are & will forever on be deeply algorithmic & reward obedient posting habits with exposure. Lots of people like me feel like it’s exhausting & deeply inhuman to follow these rules so closely

but I wonder if younger folks will just be naturally good at this & fine?
I want to believe we’re all better off not completely having our online presences & identities curbed by the will of feed algorithms but I also see kids just adapting to this really easily and not having a problem with it
I never consciously processed that sites like deviantART don’t share its space with brands, or rly any demographic that doesn’t inherently want to create/follow original content

Obv not implying “let’s move back” but wow I forget Twitter/IG isn’t a community, it’s just everyone
Anyway I just think social media is fascinating regardless if it’s connecting or destroying people. There’s so much there to process 🧐
