It is a massive tragedy that most Americans do not know (and have been purposely educated to not know) that the rollback of actually-existing socialism and razing of third world Marxism is directly tied to the ongoing de-development and destruction of our lives at home

The threat of actually-existing anti-systemic projects on continental scales and spiraling from country to country had a disciplinary effect which induced core states to allow popular development for their own populations as prophylaxis against more radical contagions

This is also why it is a suicidal strategic mistake & a misunderstanding of capitalist social logic to think that the struggle “here” can be prioritized over the struggle “there.” The same de-development and underdevelopment pocking the periphery always boomerangs back
