-it doesn't endorse shaming. Shame's a funny emotion- it travels well one on one between people who know each other, between family members or good friends. But as you move beyond that, shame's counter productive. It adds juice to the juiced, u mite say....

and although it doesn't explicitly say it, beneath it all this piece gently encourages we democrats & liberals & neverTrumpers: calm down about it a little bit. It's the holidays, it's your Aunt, your cousin, your crazy-ass neighbor, your MOM....
