Today I voted in support of a COVID Emergency Relief Package.

It is not sufficient, but it is a step forward, and House Democrats will continue to fight to get Americans much needed relief.

Here's what's in it [ A THREAD ]
✅$600 direct payments to individuals making up to $75,000

✅$1,200 for couples making up to $150,000

✅Plus $600 per child.

Also added a provision for mixed-status families ensuring immigrant families get access to this crucial relief.
✅$300 per week in additional unemployment insurance.

✅Continued unemployment assistance to self-employed, freelancers, gig workers, part-time workers, and other non-traditional employment.

✅Extended unemployment benefits when state benefits expire.
✅Permanent end to surprise medical billing

✅3 year extension of Community Health Center funding

✅Expands access to rural health care
✅Additional PPP forgivable loans for small businesses

✅$25 Billion in rental assistance

✅Extension of eviction moratorium until January 31, 2021

✅New Low-Income Water Utility Bill Assistance

✅15% increase to SNAP benefits
✅$3.2 Billion for low-income families to get access to broadband internet

✅$300 Million to fund broadband in rural areas
