The TBM characterize the @realDonaldTrump “legacy” as “a tumultuous four years that were marked by his impeachment, failures during the worst pandemic in a century and his refusal to accept defeat.” Let’s be clear: Democrats caused nearly all the tumult. 2/15
His was no pandemic failure. What defeat? The cheat, you mean? 3/15
“The nation would be hardpressed to elect another figure as disruptive as Trump”? Spying on the Trump campaign, the Russia hoax, Ukraine-phone-call impeachment, Democrat-sponsored riots…those weren’t the sources of the disruption? #GetReal! 4/15
Demented @JoeBiden as an antidote to Democrat-inspired “chaos and dissent’ and restoring “dignity to the Oval Office”? Hair sniffing and grabbing girls? Shaking down foreign governments? Often losing his place mid-sentence? Dignity. Yeah, sure. 5/15
Pres. @realDonaldTrump eroded “Americans’ views of the institutions of their own government,” the TBM tell us. That apparently is what #Democrats call exposing the government corruption that had been the status quo for decades. 6/15
Oh, no. Pres. @realDonaldTrump cast “a suspicious eye on career officials he deemed the ‘Deep State’ and shaking Americans’ confidence in civil servants...” Yet some senior federal bureaucrats also refer to their bureaucracy as the “deep state’ or“the swamp.” 7/15
“He didn’t release his tax returns or divest himself from his businesses,” the TBM say. Say it isn’t so! Wait, no law requires candidates to release tax returns. Pres. @realDonaldTrump supporters don’t care about his tax returns or what he owns. NOR DID HE TAKE A SALARY. 8/15
The TBM tells us about a “largely peaceful protest across from the White House for a photo-op.” Arson, rioting and looting were characteristic of those "largely peaceful" protests. How many videos must one see? What of the arson at that same church the night before? 9/15
“Trump’s disruption extended to the global stage as well.” What? You mean he demanded that NATO so-called allies pay their fair share and realigned threat scenarios?10/15
“He unilaterally pulled troops from Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq and Syria?” Oh, heavens. Let’s stay at war forever. Good job, Mr. President @realDonaldTrump, working to fulfill a campaign promise! 11/15
The Trump administration has altered, “perhaps permanently, the nature of the U.S.-China relationship, dimming hopes for a peaceful emergence of China as a world power.” It is clear the TBM ( @JonLemire, @ZekeJMiller, @dsupervilleap) know little-to-nothing about China. 12/15
“He named three Supreme Court justices and more than 220 federal judges, giving the judiciary an enduring conservative bent.” Hooray! “He rolled back regulations and oversaw an economy that boomed until the pandemic hit.” Hooray! His policies will yield a fecund recovery! 13/15
