it does a huge disservice to non-lesbian sapphics who were a part of "lesbian communities" before bisexual/pansexual/sapphic communities were established. idk the context of this tweet but identifying with that history and the bi women who were a part of it isn't lesbophobic -
when there are several prominent "lesbian activists" who by today's standards aren't lesbians. "lesbian history" ultimately DOES include non-lesbians because lesbian didn't always mean what it does today. bi sapphics and lesbians have shared history and that should be celebrated
"lesbian history" in itself is a contested concept because it could mean lesbian history as in the existing literature and the historical communities, or the history of women with no attraction to men. it's never usually clear but it seems like the op meant the former
