Things Monsta x and Wonho got hate for and other people did + Monsta x and Wonho getting discredited + Monsta x and Wonho inspiring other idols, and the kpop industry:
This thread was made to inform people about MX and WH’s Impact. Everything on this thread is fact checked and it can be used as receipts. This thread is not being made to spark fan wars so please do us all a favor and save your spine from the reach that you were about to make.
MBC stole Monsta x’s Sorry Sorry dance break and gave it to more popular groups and gave them no credit. Wonho had to talk about it on Vlive to bring attention to the situation. (Do not blame any of the idols, because this wasn’t their fault. Blame the companies and MBC)

Monsta x have been getting hate for showing off their bodies for a very long time and people take it as a reason to discredit them. However, they have really inspired a lot of idols to be confident, show off their bodies, and work out too. (This is just one Pic)
Monsta x have released a series of English singles and a full English album. They have gotten a whole lot of hate for it from the kpop community. There were many xenophobic and racist comments thrown towards them for doing so. +

Other idols that have received hate for this are NCT and SuperM. Monsta x is the first kpop group to release a full English Album in 10 years and they charted #5 of BB 200 even during their hard times.
Back in 2016, Wonho had a two toned blue hair style that he ended up getting A LOT of hate for. He was dragged by a lot of people and now this hairstyle (not just the color) has been getting a lot of love. (Idols in the pictures are here for examples not for hate)
Receipts of all the hate that Wonho has gotten for his hair (there is way more): ***add more
Monsta x was the very first kpop artist to perform at Jingle Ball and Jingle Bash. Back in 2018, they were dragged on Twt and a picture was going around saying that people left the venue when it was time to perform even though the picture was taken when people were coming in. +
Here is more evidence to show that these pictures and what they claimed were false:
-Chainsmokers inviting them on stage before their stage:

-Their Performance in NY
They also performed in 2019. (They didn’t for 2020 because of their schedule but are planning for 2021)
Monsta x was also the first K-pop artist to perform at the iHeartRadio Festival (both day and night)

I will be going more into what Monsta x and Wonho have inspired. The groups that I mentioned are all talented people so this is in no way discrediting them. This is showing how Monsta x and Wonho inspired them
Monsta x were one of the most influential artists when it came to the chain, choker, harness, corsets, leather etc. trend (Along with Vixx and Key from SHINee). They had a very heavy and dark look to their fashion. See their Dramarama, Jealousy, Shoot Out, Alligator and more
Monsta x debuted with very heavy beats. Their title tracks were known for their EDM influences and can be classified as noisy (not noise that’s another genre). This has brought up a trend of noisy music within the K-pop industry. Ex: NCT, Ateez, Stray Kids and more
Example of “noisy music” that came from Monsta x and sparked a music trend that we see in a lot of music today in 4th gen groups

Monsta x are always left out of so many conversations: Best dancers, best vocalists, and best rap lines when it comes to twt discussions even though they are top tier in each category

There was an article written about Monsta x talking about how their fashion choices for Fantasia X were terrible but the cowboy fashion became a trend in K-pop in the upcoming months. Monsta x was left out of the conversation when new articles came up
The cowboy/girl has been done before but after Monsta x’s resurface of the clothes, the trend started up again for the year of 2020
Examples of idols with the cowboy concept (Again, this is in no way for hate):
Monsta x have been praised by their stylists for their fashion sense multiple times:

Monsta x have also been accused of P@y0l@ multiple times without any proof (or grasp on what the word means) from kpop fans for both charting on Billboard and getting radio play. https://twitter.com/RoyalH_one/status/989678453405437952?s=20
There are many idols who have been very vocal about the fact that Monsta x inspired them and even call themselves Monbebe.
