Specifically, the statements calls for physicians to:
1. learn the colonial history of your country
2. recognise the strength and resilience of Māori, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities

There are obvs systems/structures that need improving, but it’s an encouraging call and couldn’t come fast enough. Every child deserves the best start possible.
