You can strengthen Hinduism. Thread. By Swami Muktananda Puri

1. In good measure, the weakening of Hinduism has a lot to do with the complete adoption of the Gregorian calendar by the Govt of India. Due to this, most Hindus have forgotten to read the Panchang (Hindu calendar).
2. The result of this is that Hindus don't know their festivals, have no idea of the Hindu months, the Hindu seasons, the different kaal or yog (such as rahu kaal, sarva artha siddhi yog, amrit siddhi yog, etc).
3. It's a paradigm shift where the Hindu mind looks upon Hindu customs with confusion due to the lack of such simple knowledge, and feels befuddled trying to follow the traditions. This creates a point where it becomes easier to open up to adopt other traditions namely Christian.
4. A large part of the problem has also to do with Congress which deliberately projected Hinduism as regressive while in reality Dharmic traditions are more scientific and open, compared with Abrahamic religions. This led to the erosion of pride in proclaiming oneself as Hindu.
5. If the European royalty had a coat of arms to represents their ancestry, we Hindus have our gotra, kuldevi/devta and traditions of their worship.
6. While they were killing people and conquering lands, we Hindus had learned to live relatively peacefully, accept everyone, to spend our time in worship, prayer, meditation to develop love, kindness, compassion and wisdom.
7. The world, especially the modern, has its values confused and priorities muddled notably because it considers the brute as top dog.
8. Who is worthy to be an ideal?
Christian deceptionists and crusaders, Islamic jihadists, both with the philosophy of domination OR calm, peaceful, loving- Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains with a philosophy of sharing, love and co-existence?
9. People share with each other what they have, but on the whole, humanity seems intent on losing its humanity and perhaps even losing itself.
10. In the meantime, there is no reason why a Hindu should not have pride in being Hindu.
11. Hindus must also make a conscious effort to learn to use the Panchang and to teach it to their children as well.
12. Buy a Panchang and hang it in your room to slowly become acquainted with it, this coming year, 2021.
13. Continuing the process every year will ensure that in 2-3 years, you and your family will learn to use it. And those among you who have spare money should distribute a few copies to friends and family.
This is one of the easiest methods to strengthen Hinduism.
