Listened to a few new albums on my drive. The new em album is sort of wack. The beat selection is terrible. Maybe 3 tracks off the double album are decent. 2/5. Finished listening to the jack harlow album, pretty good. 3.5/5. But the most interesting album was the Paul McCartney.
It’s an ouroboros of musical inspiration. It’s pretty wild, actually. Every track is a sound alike. But none of them sound like sir Paul. There’s a foo fighters song, a white stripes, a velvet underground, a ringo, even a rock James sound alike. It’s wild. Which begs the question
Which inspired what? It’s a musics chicken or egg. Do these tracks sound like those groups because those groups were inspired by the Beatles/wings or did Paul adopt a more modern-ish sound? I doubt I’ll ever listen to it again, but it’s worth at least 1 listen. NA/5.
No score because I wouldn’t dare pass judgment on a god. Ha. Super ha.
