I wanted to predict some things before chapter 1000 comes out so here's a thread of what I think is going to happen. The short of it is I think it's going to be a big reveal of the Will of Dawn. I have not read any spoilers, this is just for bragging rights lol.
Ironically, all of this spawned from the debate regarding Whitebeard and his lack of action avenging Oden. What if WB, did not have the option to avenge Oden, but was forced to wait for some reason and just told his crew the reason was casualties rather than reveal a secret?
We know that the discussion regarding the Will of D between WB and Roger in chapter 576 took place sometime before Oden's death since Oden was able to receive news of Roger's death before the hour of legends. Therefore, WB knew everything before Oden's death and anytime after.
Something that we also know is that Will of D members smile after their deaths. Something that Oden has done. WB opening up his conversation about Blackbeard having the D, Roger can then bring up how Oden, a former member of WB's crew also was a member of the D clan.
If Oden is a member of a D clan, according to Saul's dialogue and Luffy's family, Momo should be a D clan member as well. This is an idea that Yamato, a person who has read Oden's journal and learned what the what of D is, supports with his recent dialogue.
Yamato says that Momo will be the one to guide the world to dawn, something similar that Kin'emon said in a recent chapter when talking about Luffy who is a confirmed member of the D clan. Yamato brings up the D in Luffy's name again showing his understanding of its meaning.
Timing has been a present theme in Wano. The samurai who weren't sent to the future by Lady Toki had to wait 20 years, the plan to kill Kaido had to happen at the day of the Fire Festival, and Roger wasn't able to find the One Piece because of the fact that he was too early.
Roger, kind enough to prevent his old friend from falling for the same mistakes, told WB about the importance of timing with the Will of D. as well as how the will of the D clan members can be inherited by other people which has played a large role in OP.
So WB, after hearing the news of his brother's death decided to wait to avenge him at the proper moment because he knew that Oden's will would be passed down as a D clan member. This was all so that Oden's true wish could be accomplished, something that WB disagreed with......
...and couldn't properly act on. This also explains why Marco says that they thought about going to Wano many times even though they were waiting for the right person. They had no clue who was the right person, so anytime samurai left to act on Oden's dream, that could've been it
If Wano is a closed off country, then how could WB hear the news of the inside events? Same way the crew heard of Oden's death most likely. Maybe as a parallel to Kanjuro informing Kaido, there is an informant in Kaido's crew that gives inside info to WB.
Going back to timing real quick, Blackbeard is a member of the Will of D clan and WB explicitly states that BB is not the man that Roger is ๐ฐ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ for, proving that he has a knowledge of timing's importance.
It's cruel then that someone who inherited Oden's will only really popped up after WB died. But at the same time, others such as Marco and Izo who have been waiting now get the opportunity to act on it, their patience has been rewarded.
Ace is similar to Roger in many ways, but one of the cooler ones that Oda has highlighted recently is their hastiness. They both wanted to accomplish their goals as soon as possible, rushing it and were both punished with death for it.
Of course, this theory really hinges on Oden being a member of the Will of D, but based on what Oda has laid out, I think it's more than likely. Why is the reveal next chapter? Recent dialogue has addressed it a bunch, even Yamato himself addresses it in chapter 999.

It would also serve as a cool callback to both the one-shot that led to One Piece and the first chapter's title Romance Dawn.
Personally I would to get the full conversation between Whitebeard and Roger that happened in chapter 576 as the reveal, but Yamato could also serve as the narrator to one of the biggest secrets in OP and the main event of the legendary chapter 1000.
