After months of negotiations, congress has reached a 900 billion dollar stimulus relief deal that would provide money for businesses, individuals, schools, and health care providers. https://newschannel9.com/news/nation-world/congress-seals-agreement-on-covid-relief-government-funding-1
The $ 900 billion deal includes:
$600 direct stimulus payments to qualifying Americans
$300 per week in extra unemployment benefits
$25 billion in rental assistance
$15 billion for live venues
$82 billion for schools
$10 billion for child care

The deal also sets aside $284 billion in PPP funding. This would mean businesses are eligible for a second round of grants. Some of this is earmarked specifically for low income and minority communities.
The Tivoli Theatre says they’ve been closely following the deal which includes 15 billion in funding for live venues. The Save Our Stages Act first advocated for money on behalf of this hard hit industry https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-bill/4258
Congress is expected to vote on the deal today, and it could land on @POTUS’ desk for signature as soon as tonight.
