This another example of the Highlands + Islands being used as a playground for the rich. Ppl on Bute have made hard sacrifices to keep the island safe, + the selfish actions of the landed gentry runs in stark contrast to that. We cannot have one rule for them and another for us.
I will personally write to the Charity Commission asking for a review of the Mount Stuart Trust.
I hope the family make public how much they are paying the trust to use the estate for what appears to be a private family holiday.

In the meantime, I hope the Marquess of Bute and his heirs reflect on what they've brought to the island and its community this year, other than what appears to be luxury private getaways for the elite amid a deadly pandemic.
