Important point to remember: when Repub. members of Congress try lawlessly on Jan. 6 to get Congress to recognize the Trump slates of electors in key battleground states that Biden won: those electors are not official.

Instead, those so-called alternate slates of electors are rogue electors that were not approved in any official way by the legislatures of battleground states. They will have no validity and cannot take priority over the official Biden slates that were certified by governors.

EVEN IF those Trump slates were officially approved through the normal legislative process, they would STILL lose to the Biden slates. That's because the Biden slates were duly chosen via the Electoral Count Act. Under that federal law, any tie goes to the governor's slate.

It's dangerous for democracy that some Republicans continue to try to steal the election, spurred by Donald Trump. They will keep lawlessly pushing through the counting of electoral votes on Jan. 6, & prob. even to inauguration on Jan. 20.
