Business partner passed, and I pulled out of a land lease where we were 154% overstocked before the drought-with no winter grazing and required to purchase roughage from the landlord that was nothing more then cheat grass and weeds and couldn’t bring in outside hay.
Cattle were losing condition and the third party phD came in and said take them out now. So I did. Today I got cornered by the landlords wife while helping sort cattle for my deceased partners family as they asked for my marketing help.
I was told I ducked everything up. Along with a lot of other things. In a time of crisis I think true character shows. There are those that just want money or only think about themselves and then there are those that are trying to help with whatever they can to make it easier
For the family that has lost. I will say this before one enters any kind of land lease that has a number stipulation attached get an ecological evolution done, because the number one lesson I’ve learned over the last 3.5 years is a landlord can screw you over every way.
