Think I’ve landed on my favorite game of the year: #FinalFantasyVIIRemake. If I looked at it objectively, I’d have to give it to Hades, but I can’t deny there was just a feeling of magic playing FF7R. Like, this thing should not exist and be as *good* as it is, but there it is.
Tons of other favorite gaming experiences this year as well: from the gripping gameplay and narrative of TLOUII that managed to live up to the immense expectations and quality of the original, and somehow surpass them...
...to the fantastic realization of open world feudal Japan in Ghost of Tsushima that provided an absolutely beautiful world with fantastic action, story, and performances; delivering breathtaking moments at every step...
to the immaculately produced Hades, which as I said, if I looked at objectively, the excellence in its execution across visual, audio, and gameplay, along with its innovation in roguelike mechanics puts it as the game that impressed me the most in 2020.
But #FF7Remake spoke to my gaming heart in a way that probably was impossible for any other game to do, and they pulled it off so incredibly well.

regardless of my own personal opinion on favorites, I hope you all found joy in games in this insane year!
