A variant of COVID-19 has been identified in the U.K. with mutations that may cause increased infectivity.
As @CMOH_Alberta has said, "there's no current evidence that this variant causes more severe disease. Alberta's current public health measures are effective against it." 2/5

The federal government put a stop to all incoming private and commercial flights from the U.K. at midnight Dec. 20 for 72 hrs.

If you've been in the U.K. in the last 14 days and are participating in the border pilot, you must now quarantine until 14 days have passed from your arrival.
