The public health data provision is in! It would have ONC identify standards for health data that would then be required for CDC grants. That’s exactly what we want to happen—national standards that different agencies (CDC, CMS, etc) point to. We’re starting to get there.
As the package includes government funding, we also see ONC’s budget—a $2M bump! Regardless, it’s still a very small amount ($62M) for an agency that could have a major effect on the health ecosystem
And, the perennial approps rider preventing the finalization of a standard for patient ID is in, as expected. Well, ONC owes Congress a report on this topic early next year. So, we’ll see what that says.

And, a piece on real time benefit checks! Basically adding standards for these tools—which can help reduce out of pocket costs—and embeds RTBC as a requirement in MIPS.
