Listen
I know how much it can hurt to get kicked out of a GC but I have to side with the adults here.
They're trying to keep you safe.
Of course it depends a little on the situation and how you got kicked, but I think talking it out and then leaving/getting kicked is Okey to do
If you never state your age and they asume you are and adult and interact with you like an adult
Then I can understand them for kicking you.
If your are 17 and turn 18 in like a month
You can just ask to rejoin then.
If it was like people you considered close friends-
Then it fucking hurts, I know it does, but you have to understand that they're trying to keep you save and make an environment for themself where they feel comfortable.
What I'm trying to say is
Don't kick people without explanation, Okey? Especially not when they've been part of the groupchat longer and they stated that they're a minor.
Its very hurtful and I for example would feel very betrayed.
If you just kick them without an explanation they'll feel like they did something wrong and will end up lying about their age in the next gc or won't interact anymore with people at all because they will be scared of getting kicked out again.
Brains of underage work different.
They will feel like they did something wrong and not learn from it.
They will probably think "they kicked me because of something I can't control"
You need to explain to them that you don't kick them for something they can't control, but you kick them for their own safety.
They will just start lying about their age then.
They'll pretend they are an adult and will end up lying and catfishing as a mechanism to make sure to not get kicked again.
Your role as adult is it here to clear things up for the minor.
They think emotional before rational.
You need to make sure that they understand that it is for their own safety and not just kick them. We understand things very different from you.
Our brain works different.
We need you adults to clear things up for us.
Our brains are not fully developed. We won't understand some things, we will think emotional before rational. It is your responsibility to make sure we know it's not because of us, but because of our and your safety.
I'm really really tired, I hope this thread makes sense and clears some things up from the side of adults and especially from the side of the minors.
Ghost out :)
