Finished Violet Evergarden - 10/10

Authentic storytelling presented within such a complete audiovisual experience. KyoAni brings out so much honesty about human emotion in these stories and in Violet herself, and I found it so incredibly fulfilling

Shouldn't be too much of a surprise if you've read my thoughts going through but I truly felt so connected with these characters, maybe not because of a direct relatability, but how much intelligence these struggles are handled with

Being able to observe how all of this builds towards Violet's character makes her this coordinate of what universal struggles we share, and the ability to move forward despite them

These ideas obviously aren't exclusive to VG but the attention to detail visually and understanding of how people emote and conduct themselves is what brings it all to life, that's the extraordinary of this series

What I can appreciate in any story is the universality in the messaging, and I think VG maintains that consistently. Very much grateful that a series like this exists and it feels celebratory of what's possible with storytelling through animation
