Today I got as close to my parents as I’ve been since August - a driveway grocery drop and visit through the window. My welcome birds were the curious chickadees who watched me fill the feeders (added peanuts for blue jays for mom). Red squirrel came too, happy for the snacks.
Lots of stories told in the snow... who traveled under, on top of it. Saw deer, vole, rabbit, squirrel; and wonder if the 3rd pic a dog, fox, or coyote walking around the house. That last one, skunk? Five visible toes! Pretty cool.
No matter the season, that #dailymoss always cheers me up. Look how lovely and green, varied it is. 💚

Asters and goldenrod, less showy than in September but just as distinctive. Horsetail, an ancient that grows among us. And the spruce that house birds above, rabbits below, and likely many other creatures throughout the year.
