This is a small appreciation thread about our scouting department at FC Bayern

So many clubs nowadays bring in the so called “big names” in efforts to win the big prizes. At Bayern I have always been proud that we select our players so carefully, and that they fit in to the clubs ethos first and foremost.
All around Europe you see players coming and going, and it often turns out that they weren’t the right fit for the team. Inside the dressing room more importantly. Games are won and lost off the field as much as on the green grass of game time.
Money is thrown around and wasted on players that weren’t right for the clubs, but they were often signed to make some sort of statement, and often swayed by money. Being moulded into the shape of the clubs image is so much more important going forward, and you will achieve more
You have players like Goretzka admitting that it was ‘our Mia San Mia mentality’ that got the team through the tough parts after the Covid restart.
I don’t know about you, but I would take this mentality, over big name stars any day.

It is not by fluke that we seem to have a glut of these players in the team, bought in, and brought through the academy.
It is clear that the scouting department go through such stringent checks to make sure each player fits into the Bayern family.
