Last thing on the iPad stuff: the “discourse” is not stupid. Some people see professionals posting garbage takes like that and need to know that they are not lazy and their work isn’t “so sad”. Maybe it’s dumb to see when you’re in your mid-20s and illustrating for a few years...
... but not everyone on this site is a jaded 20-something editorial illustrator. Some people could actually drop art altogether or start trying to force themselves into some kind of mold. Talking about bad takes is important to fostering a healthy community IMO ...
... and actively dismissing the “discourse” as stupid is bad in a lot of the same ways as the actual bad take itself. Anyway done talking about this forever now.
“This thing is so stuuuuupid, it doesn’t bother me one bit” you’re not as cool as you think you are, you’re still tweeting about it. Just be quiet.
