Zionism isn’t Jewish liberation.
Even by Zionist standards Zionism isn’t Jewish liberation. Zionism was founded as a movement to be able to flee antisemitism, not liberate us from antisemitism.
My family was saved by zionism and I’m not denying that happened, but that isn’t Jewish liberation. Having a safe space does not equal liberation. Liberation means we would be free from antisemitism worldwide and be able to be Jewish anywhere.
In addition to this, the liberation of one people cannot be founded upon the oppression of another. The creation of the state of Israel resulted in the nakba and the oppression of Palestinians.
The solution I support is a binational state solution with the right of return for both Palestinian people and Jewish people. The binational state solution would create a state that is both Palestinian and Jewish at the same time.
