2. I initially did a similar thread for Ireland’s members of the TC and have now decided to tackle the
as quite a few people requested it. Before I dive into the
members, I just want to explain what the TC is and what an important role it has.

3. The TC was officially founded on July 1, 1973. Its founder and primary financial backer was David Rockefeller, longtime chairman of the Rockefeller family-controlled Chase Manhattan Bank
4. It was formed in 1973 by private citizens of Western Europe, Japan and North America to foster closer cooperation among these three regions on common problems.
5. It seeks to improve public understanding of such problems, to support proposals for handling them jointly, and to nurture habits and practices of working together among these regions.
6. Membership was also roughly divided among academics, politicians and corporate magnates; these included international bankers, leaders of prominent labour unions and corporate directors of media giants.
7. Many members of the TC are now in positions of power where they are able to implement policy recommendations of the Commission; recommendations that they, themselves, prepared on behalf of the Commission
