Meanwhile, as the EU process for approval and distribution of the vaccines is taking its time, around 4000 people die every day of Covid-19 in the bloc

Britain is now global leader in per capita vaccinations, followed by the US. Both countries used the authorized BioNTech/Pfizer jab. If the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine is authorized soon, the UK could become the first larger country to reach herd immunity
