hello!! it’s time to educate some of you on racial indigenous slurs :]

-savage- savage is a word that was used against us when we were enslaved, and we were treated like animals and skinned like animals, the word “savage” is our n word.

-pocahontas- it isn’t really a slur-

-it’s just extremely offensive and rude since the real story of pocahontas is extremely dark and cruel which includes pedophilia (grooming)and being taken away from her own family against her will

-eskimo kiss/ eskimo- in my culture this is only done-

between mothers and children. so the image might have had of the “Eskimo kiss” was misleading. indigenous people accept the term eskimo other (me) peoples consider it offensive, because it was a label applied by europeans and others, which has basically stripped of all meaning

-indian- this is an offensive slang some people use for indigenous peoples instead of calling the native/indigenous not only is it misnaming someone’s race but it holds a lot of history.

also not to mention the mistreat we still get till this day, all the way from our land getting stolen to all the MMIW, also i have a video link of an indigenous woman on her death bed being called racial slurs and offensive sayings.
