Well tonight completed the circle.
I admitted a man nearly 2 weeks ago for Covid. He was in his 50s and quite ill. Put on Bipap.
Two days ago I was called to his room to place a chest tube for a very sizeable pneumothorax (collapsed lung).
Earlier tonight I was called...
Again to his room to evaluate him. He was doing very poorly. I told him we were going to intubate him. What I didnt tell him was I knew he was going to die. I told the nurse as I was leaving id see them soon when he codes.
Was called back to the room 2 hours later
For a code blue. Coded him for nearly an hour. Had him back 4 different times but his body just gave out and he continued coding. He has now passed.
This shit sucks. I'm tired. Im mentally, physically and emotionally fatigued and our numbers in Arizona are only getting worse.
Hug your family. Stay appropriately away from everyone else. This will pass, be patient. Please help us out.
@Cleavon_MD , @Supermansings man, im not sure how much more I have left to give.
