underrated and underappreciated BIGBANG oldies: a thread EVERY new (and old) VIP should see!
she can't get enough - bigbang (2006)

Absolutely one of my absolute favorites of their older songs! I can, and have, listened to this song for HOURS. Idk why but it reminds me of the Cheetah Girls.
a good man - bigbang (2008)

Another amazing song! Written and composed by our wonderful Choi Seunghyun, it was one of the earliest examples of what direction he may have wanted BIGBANG's older discography to take! Definitely a sound I would love to hear the boys revisit.
butterfly - gdragon (2009)

With the success of Jiyong's Heartbreaker album, I cant fathom why exactly this song isnt recognized! Featuring Jin Jung, this song has such a soft vibe to it; and the mv is so aesthetically pleasing, it definitely fits with the song gorgeously.
oh, ah, oh - bigbang (2008)

This song slaps like the vibes are there. This has THE sound of early '00z, yet they randomly sampled SCATMAN and it WORKS ⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️ The historic installation easily makes it one of my favorite bb oldies AND use of a sample.
of all days - t.o.p (2010)

I could go as far as to label this song a "hidden track." "Oneulttala" was included on the GD&TOP EP as a Seunghyun solo track, and continues to showcase the versatility BIGBANG members are known for. An incredibly addictive track once you know it!
sinner - taeyang (2008)

Included on his first ep, Hot, "Sinner" just oozes pure sexy frustration in it's sound with lyrics that talk about broken promises and a hostile round or two of the blame game in result of a painful breakup.
ego - bigbang (2012)

I'm already breaking my rule of not going beyond 2011 releases but it'd be absolutely criminal for me to not include "Ego" onto this thread. Everyone should know and enjoy "Ego." No explanation needed. I personally prefer the more raw Japanese version!
hallelujah - gd x yb x top (2009)

Released as an OST in promo of Seunghyun's role as Vic in k-drama, Iris, "Hallelujah" exudes pure badassery with a chilling hook surrounded by hard rap. Pair it off with the angry fireworks from Big Show 2010 & you've got THE villain theme song.
i don't understand - bigbang (2007)

Let's talk nostalgia & a song that just /sounds/ like the oldies. Whenever I hear this song, I recall being in my mom's car on my way to school listening to oldies rnb radio. This song is one overexposed music video away from BET Her Playlist.
connection - taeyang (2010)

Our first, and probably only, english addition to the list! "Connection" just has a signature Taeyang feel to it that makes you wanna get up and get down! With an amazingly catchy feature from rapper Bigtone, its hard to not sing along!
she's gone - gdragon (2009)

You can never go wrong with a KUSH feature! "She's Gone" is a grungy depiction of an obsessive lover gone mad as Jiyong ops for aggressive hitting rap over guitar, synths, and a familiar rock influenced drumbeat. Nothing but pure theatrics here!
top of the world - bigbang (2009)

Released with BB's second Japanese album, "Top of the World"'s top melody floats over a simple dance beat with a sense of ✨shimmeringness✨. Vocal line made this song their bitch, I could listen to Youngbae & Daesung sing their chorus for days.
Imma end this thread for now!!! But there's definitely more I could go on and on about!
