Those who do not learn from history and experience are doomed to continue committing blunders. In the case of India, it is not blunder but a criminal act to enrich cronies at the cost of the farming community.
Canada is one of the largest producers of wheat in the world .(2)

It exports wheat to 70 countries around the world. The Canadian Wheat board was the strongest and best agency established by Parliament in 1935 to protect the rights of farmers. (4)

Right wing government in 2012 dissolved the Canadian Wheat board and the power to buy and sell wheat was given to private companies. The result has been devastating for the farmers and for the rural economy. (4)

Today, 8 years later, Canada believes that ending the wheat board was a mistake.
The private company (called G3) that established in its place is 50% owned by Saudi Arabia.
Efforts are on to re establish govt laws that protect farmers and Canadian wheat and barley. (5/5) Learn !
