1. 2@Boeing_In tests its Super Hornet off a ski-jump and concludes that it is compatible in every way with the Indian Navy's existing carriers.
2. This includes the provision of a solution to enable the Hornet to land on the Vikramaditya which currently uses Russian aids compatible exclusively with the Indian Navy's MiG-29K fighters.
3. No direct yes or no answer from senior @Boeing_In executives on whether they have engaged in any talks with the @indiannavy on leasing the jets to the Indian Navy. The lack of a direct denial to a specific question makes this a point worth looking into.
4. Have had the fortune of flying 3 sorties on the Super Hornet. This is an incredible, robust and evolved platform which is the benchmark for carrier aviation. Whether India can afford this jet - as a purchase or lease is anyones guess.
5. Given the relatively modest experience with the MiG-29K as a carrier-borne platform, does it at all make sense to transfer this otherwise superb multi-role jet to the @IAF_MCC and buy 2+ squadrons of Block 3 Hornets for our carriers?
