For those who still don't understand the BTS x MBC feud,

Part of the many problems was MBC Gayo 2018. They didn't let them sit together, split their performance into half for viewership, and YET didn't let BTS perform last despite them being #1 the biggest act there, because it+

+ it was a SM party

BTS was rumored to perform different songs there, but they performed Mic Drop - for the 2nd year in a row, causing surprise and instant speculations.

Only previous month, BTS attented a joint award show of MBC brand and Genie Music, the first GMAs.+

The show has proven to be utter crap, because when BTS performed FAKE LOVE, their in-ears weren't working. We could see that already with Jungkook x Charlie Puth opening, where he simply put it out of his ear as it was bothering instead of helping.

MGMAs also played the wrong+

+ a wrong backing track, instead of the mix BT5 chose for the performance, which is the reason their performance sounded off and caused to hit the very wrong note. Which took a great tool on him, if the pictures from seats are anything to go by.

Now let's go back to Gayo,

2019, NYRE has invited BTS for perfoming as a headliner, a $1M job as we know by now. MBC tried for them since autumn but BTS obviously picked the better option. They were said or rumored (I don't remember) to get back to MBC for alternatives like prerecorded parts but +

+ MBC threw a fit, basically it looked like they thought they don't need BTS but BTS needs them. Because BTS haven't attended, all artists from bighit labels were not invited either.

You think that's the end? Later it turned out BH labels artists are banned from all shows +

+ all shows produced by MBC station, from music shows to reality shows.

That was kind of everybody-knows situation and MBC got a lot of public criticism for power abuse. The issue grew so big that MBC officials had to publicy reject the accusations (no one believed lol)

That's STILL not all but that was the cherry on top that made BTS part their ways with MBC productions completely

Gayos happen on different dates but MBC Gayo was and is THE new years eve show and what made MBC bonus mad is BTS chose to perform for SBS and KBS live & ditched MBC

This is the reason kpoppies thought bighit was petty making their own new year's eve party at the same time with MBC. Which is stupid af, because obviously bighit is known for breaking the monopoly of distributors, wants to make money and promote their artists together lol

But I'm telling you, the korean media clownery that happened over MBC x BT5 conflicts over the past 3 years made enough for a whole fuxking circus

Honestly from all the situations I hate MBC the most for that trash MGMAs production. was still very sensitive about such mistakes (as we could see the heartbreaking scene in Burn The Stage), tour exhausted, he was a counter tenor given wrong backing track and spoiled in-ear

For the next 2 years it was the favorite reason for kpop stans to bully him, every fucking kpoppie has the video downloaded on all of their phones and some used the picture of him sitting with his head in between his hands as a meme "when you realize you don't have any talent"

And when I say "tour exhausted" I mean it. BT5 was fresh out their most intense tour schedule ever noting 24 tour dates in a span of 2 months. They barely caught their breath after European leg

Like I said there were many other reasons for BTS to dislike MBC before.

BTS were so used to being treated like trash by kmedia that they have just endured it, but during over a month of BS&T promotions in 2016 MBC MuCore couldn't even provide with enough chairs for them in the

+ in the waiting room. Yes, that's the reason on the recap videos you can always see some of the members standing.

Other than that, I could be wrong but I think it was MBC MuCore who in the BS&T didn't give BTS a changing room - while gave them to rookie artists, which made BTS+

+ change and prepare for the show in a corridor, in front of the bathrooms, where they still bowed to every single person going there to take a dump, because they are that humble. This was both reported and we can see it in BS&T promos vlog

So you see, the show treated better rookies than multimillion selling BTS a month before they won Artist Of The Year and Album Of The Year on two the biggest kpop award shows
