The public policy response to this pandemic has been mostly illogical at every level.

Medical professionals & experts have constantly informed us about how it spreads, and how to stop it. But government’s actions have only selectively heeded their advice.

That doesn’t work.
We can, and should, take action to immediately lower the number of people in jails, prisons and detention centers, and actually implement health standards on the inside.

We can, and should, use the numerous safe, vacant spaces in our city as housing for the tens of thousands of people living without shelter in our city.

We should pass an eviction moratorium, without exceptions. In turn, we should provide relief for property owners who need it.
