So I’m doing math here, I know scary, but I figured out a way to get the Eagles to $9,820,354 under the Cap for 2021.

If you’re not interested don’t read, this is what I would do though. This is also what I think the team will do.
Okay for starters. The cap line is projected to be $176,000,000 next year according to http://overthecap.com .

Now there are rumors that teams will be able to use policies to make it easy to get to that number considering everyone in the league is almost over next year.
As of now the Eagles are $92,149,761 over in 2021. After you account the $22,856,492 rollover from unused 2020 cap space that is $69,293,269 over. Need atleast $7-8 million to sign draft picks

Still a ton of work to do.
Starting with the big cuts

Alshon Jeffery, June 1st ($13M saved)
Malik Jackson, June 1st ($10M saved)
DeSean Jackson, June 1st ($9M saved)

All three leave $11,031,500 in dead money. The cost of doing business and getting younger.
Trades

Carson Wentz, first three days of the league year ($852,928 saved in 2021, $25,400,000 saved in 2022)

Zach Ertz, June 1st, ($8,250,000 saved)

2022 first, 2021 second, 2021 fourth, and 2022 fifth acquired for both combined.

$38,042,108 in dead money. Brutal.
Restructures

Brandon Graham, push $11 million over the next three years, gives him more money locked up later. Eagles save $8,250,000 on the cap in 2021

Darius Slay, push $8 million over the next three years, he gets more money locked up later. Eagles save $5,333,333 in 2021
More...

Javon Hargrave, push $11 million over the next three years, he gets more money locked up later. Eagles save $8,250,000 in 2021.

Brandon Brooks, push $9 million over the next three years, you know... Eagles save $6,750,000 in 2021.
Extension

Derek Barnett, 4 years, $28 million ($17 million guaranteed)
$6,700,000 cap hit in 2021

(Would’ve been $10,051,000)
Why would they take restructures?

Pushing back guaranteed money means essentially an extra year on the team. Makes it harder to cut meaning they will likely make more money. Like how you see Alshon now. He made a lot more $ because of that restructure.
Smaller cuts

Marquise Goodwin, whenever ($4,281,250 saved)
JJAW, June 1st ($945,112 saved)
Marcus Epps, whenever ($850,000 saved)
Brett Toph, whenever ($850,000 saved)
All in all the Eagles are left paying around $40 million for essentially a couple picks. They get younger. They get cap space.

They are left with $57,164,017 to work with in 2022. Perfect to make a run at it with a QB on a rookie contract. Hopefully you can hit on the picks.
