[THREAD] With the szn approaching it’s close, let’s take look at my Hall of Shame of worst misses in my short career as an overzealous dude who talks too much about fantasy football.

Will cover the misses, why I missed and how I’ll adjust going forward. Feel free to dunk on me.
1.01 - Justin Herbert

- Concerned about how he would handle pressure in the NFL behind a poor LAC OL
- overweighted his down senior year without accounting for his much more impressive early szns
- Didn’t understand how bad his coach / team / scheme were in college
- DC is 👑
1.02 - Josh Allen

- this was as bad a miss as Herbert in terms of impact but was much harder to predict
- underestimated +++ impact of Diggs and how well the Bills built around his strengths
- honestly I’ll probably miss on these going forward given unprecedented improvement
1.03 - DK Metcalf

- I was but a fresh noob and fell for the limited route tree and 3 cone trap
- valuable lesson I learned here is to focus on what they can do, not what they can’t
- doesn’t matter if they’re only good at a couple things if they do it better then 99% of others
1.04 - Derrick Henry

- the 👑 himself has been clowning on me year after year showing why he’s one of the best in the NFL
- I anchored too heavily to his early career didn’t account for change in usage and improvement as a player
- ride him till the wheels fall off, don’t be:
1.05 - N’Keal Harry

- way over indexed into nerdy numbers, leading me to rank him ahead of DK and Sanders big yikes 😬
- best hits come when both film and analytics align, ignoring one for the others is foolish which is why I incorporate film into everything I’ve done since
On the bright side, I learn quickly and pivot quickly. Went heavy into DK Metcalf after realizing my mistake last offszn.

I went all in on Herbert via card investments after 3-4 games of his rookie year.

Now I get to enjoy the ride up with those who were right from the jump.
Everyone is wrong from time to time. Key is to recognize when you’re wrong, learn from it and to pivot quickly. Take 🔒 is what kills you.

Being wrong and pivoting quickly is almost as good as being right to begin with.

As long as you’re right more than your wrong, that’s a W.
