Too often we give encouragement with hesitation and trepidation.

We are either too proud to admit someone is good at something or fearful they might think they are better than us.

Encouragement shouldn’t be a rare amenity but a constant reality. Paul tells us—in light of Christ’s second coming and the assurance of salvation we have in him—“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up...” (1 Thess 5:11)

So give real, honest, and specific encouragement on a regular basis. The believers around you need it more than you know. If they have a pulse they need encouragement.
