Still created a lot of credible chances & the score feels like an anomaly. Loads to build on & good to see the young lads in the second half. Sensible by Bielsa to withdraw Klich & Kalvin given the suspension tightrope. Lots of points available in the coming games. #lufc
Once again, young Meslier with some very good saves towards the end. Even when he’s got stuff wrong he regularly makes really great stops. The experience he gains this season even when results go against us will be invaluable in the coming years. #lufc
I understand why some will be feeling hurt but it’s a false economy to play differently because of the quality of opposition players on a match to match basis. Our system works for us in the sense that it’s both exciting & effective given that the primary goal is survival. #lufc
As for the home side, they’re teeming with quality players & if they don’t win anything you have to be asking some very stern questions of the coaching staff & of course the upper management also. Another club seemingly humouring an ex-player for nebulous reasons.
