So, hockey guy. Hockey’s a “team” sport, right? I mean professionals went to work, in a bubble, to entertain the fans.

What if one of them had decided to “take a stand” and ignore public health orders? Isolation? Lost play time? Cancelled ad revenue? Lost pay?
Would his teammates have been praising him?

Would their families be praising these actions - they were locked up for four weeks to finish the season. If they’d pushed it into six, that’s two more weeks of hotels, takeout and not seeing their families.
And contract or not, hockey players are employees. If they can’t trust their employees to follow safety protocols, why would they pay to keep them around? They wouldn’t risk one idiot taking out half their players because “freedom”.
Maybe this guy’s career was already over. Maybe he was never going to make it to the big time anyway so this is his way of getting noticed.

He’s probably tanked any future he had in team sports with this little performance.
So when you see his go fund me, remember that he’s proven himself completely untrustworthy as a team member, and he probably does need the money.

He also wants to be a hero to all the little hockey players coming up behind him.

What could possibly go wrong?
